Trade Volume Update: MAIB Farm Machinery Export Report Released!

The Machinery Exporters Association (MAIB) has released a report showing the progress of commodity trade in the January-July period. The report shows that trade has increased by about 35 percent compared to the same period last year.
Total trade, which excludes tractor components, was about US$761 million during the period. This placed the sector fifth among the 22 sectors exporting total machinery. During the same period, imports of agricultural machinery increased by 125 percent year-on-year, reaching US$459 million. In the trade balance, the ratio was 157.6%, implying a trade surplus in the sector Ag-Machinery.

The trade value of the entire machinery sector grew by 31,7 percent to US$ 11.9 billion year-on-year. The overall trade in goods per kilogram was at $ 5,8. In terms of farm machinery, the export value per kilogram was $ 4,6. For agricultural machinery, the major export partners were the USA, Uzbekistan, Italy, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Russia, Sudan, France, Serbia and Romania.
