Amendment to the CE Marking Regulations!
The regulation on "CE" marking (Law No: 4021), Notified Bodies and Market Surveillance (Law No: 4022), and the Law on the Preparation and Implementation of Technical Legislation on Products that have been revised, published in the Official Gazette lately.
The "CE" marking regulation which has been mandatory in Turkey since 2002, was reviewed within the framework of Law No. 7223, and the responsibilities of all economic enterprises are clarified with the new regulation. The product safety system is strengthened by giving manufacturers, authorized representatives and importers, and distributors certain responsibilities.
The regulation on Notified Bodies and Market Surveillance currently covers 49 notified bodies approved by the EU and their certificates are recognized all over the world. On this wise, conformity assessment bodies will now be followed more closely.
